My parents spent their later teenage years living in Sheffield, piling into a three wheeler Robin Reliant and driving out to the local Crags: Froggat, Lawrencefield, Stanage.
My mum once said to me how wonderful she thought it was that I had climbed in so many more locations then they had been able to. I remember thinking, climbing Alan’s slab in Froggat – why would you go anywhere else!
However, I am lucky, the fact that I don’t live anywhere near cliffs means that anywhere is as close as everywhere else and I have had the joy of climbing all over the UK and Europe. I’ve linked directly off the menu of the afreebean blog to different Crags and I’ll also add some of those links in here (tap a picture to follow the trail!). Eventually I plan to have a page for each of the different areas, linking to blog posts – but that may take me a little time, I have been a few places!
